然而這段話是針對中央冷暖空調系統，主因是 HEPA 會加重系統風扇負荷而無法提高風量。
另外，上面的 Guide to Air Cleaners in the Home 是舊版的，改版後也刪除了該段內容...

新版對中央冷暖空調濾網的建議是"至少" MERV13 而且等級能越高越好。注意，這建議不是對"空氣清淨機"。
>Furnace and HVAC filters for homes are usually designed to filter particles. If you decide to upgrade or use a higher efficiency filter, choose a filter with at least a Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) 13 rating, or as high a rating as your system fan and filter slot can accommodate.
針對空氣清淨機 (Portable Air Cleaners) 只提到空氣清淨機常會搭配 HEPA 濾網 (就是 0.3μm 過濾效率 99.97%)，用 CADR 判斷適用面積，且 CADR (美國的) 只針對顆粒物。如要過濾氣體，就要搭配有活性碳或其他類型的濾網。內容完全沒有提到濾網建議或是 MERV 13 就相當於 HEPA...
最後，歐洲亞高效/高效濾網等級中，早就沒有 H10~H12，改成 E10~E12 很久了...
